Set up a proxy (MiiTel Phone Desktop)

This page explains how to set up a proxy for MiiTel Phone Desktop. Depending on the version you use, the setting procedures will be different.

Check the version of MiiTel Phone Desktop

  1. Launch MiiTel Phone Desktop.
  2. Click MiiTel at the top left of MiiTel Phone Mobile > About MiiTel.
  1. Launch MiiTel Phone Desktop.
  2. Click MiiTel at the top left of the screen on your Mac > About MiiTel.

Set up a proxy for MiiTel Phone Desktop v3.2.0 and later

You will set up a proxy from your computer for both Windows and Mac.

Check Use a proxy server in Windows.

Check Enter proxy server settings on Mac.

  NOTE

  •   If the proxy requires authentication, you will see an authentication dialog when connecting for the first time. Enter the user name and password for the proxy and click Submit.

Set up a proxy for MiiTel Phone Desktop v3.1.3 and earlier

  1. Open MiiTel Phone Desktop.
  2. Click MiiTel > Preferences > Proxy Settings.
