If you can't click the phone number on Salesforce or other websites (to do a click to call), the following may be the cause of this problem. Please read the details below.
MiiTel Phone Chrome Extension is disabled
Follow the procedures below and enable MiiTel Phone Chrome Extension.
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click Settings.
- Click Extensions.
- To enable the extension for MiiTel Phone, click the toggle switch (as shown in the picture below).
Google Chrome is not updated to the latest version
If Google Chrome is not updated to the latest version, you might not be able to do a click to call. Please refer to Update Google Chrome for instructions and other information about updating Google Chrome.
Click to call feature is disabled
MiiTel Phone Chrome Extension's click to call feature allows you to disable or enable click to call for all or the specified websites.
You will check the click to call settings by the following steps.
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click the MiiTel icon located on the top-right of the browser.
- Click Options.
- Check Enable click to call feature for all websites.
- If Enable click to call feature for all websites is not checked, please check if the URL of the website is included in Websites to enable click to call feature. If the website is not included, insert the website in that section, then click Save.
Google Chrome is not updated to the latest version
If Google Chrome is not updated to the latest version, you might not be able to do a click to call. Please refer to Update Google Chrome for instructions and other information about updating Google Chrome.
MiiTel Phone for Salesforce is not activated
Click MiiTel tab located on the bottom-left of Salesforce to turn on MiiTel Phone for Salesforce. If you are not logged in, log in to MiiTel Phone for Salesforce at this time.
After you log in, click on a phone number and check if you can make a phone call.
