How to set up MiiTel for Salesforce

  IMPORTANT

  •  In order to use MiiTel for Salesforce, you would need to subscribe separately to MiiTel for Salesforce. For more information, please contact your sales representative or Support.
  •  Before you use MiiTel for Salesforce, you need to set up both the Salesforce integration and Salesforce activity history integration.
  •  You cannot use MiiTel for Salesforce with Salesforce Classic. 
  •  You can use MiiTel for Salesforce with the following editions.

・ Service Cloud: Enterprise Edition or higher

・ Sales Cloud: Enterprise Edition or higher

・ Salesforce Platform: Lighting Platform Starter or higher

  •  The maximum number of users per organization is 5000.

With MiiTel for Salesforce, the audio waveform, speech evaluation, voice evaluation, speech recognition (beta), etc., which appears in the call history of MiiTel Analytics, can now be seen directly on Tasks in Salesforce. You can now see your data on Salesforce as you don't need to go back to MiiTel Analytics to check the call history or recordings.

Step 1: Install MiiTel for Salesforce

  1. Go to the Salesforce AppExchange page for MiiTel for Salesforce from the URL below.
    https://appexchange.salesforce.com/appxListingDetail?listingId=a0N3u00000QsEh0EAF
  2. Click Get It Now.

  1. If you are not logged in to Trailblazer.me, click Log In. Follow the instructions, and you will also log in to Salesforce.

  NOTE

  •   To use AppExchange, you would need a Trailblazer.me account.
  1. Click Install in Production.

  1. After you confirm the details, check I have read and agree to the terms and conditions and click Confirm and Install.

  1. You will log in to the Salesforce organization where you want to install MiiTel for Salesforce.
  2. Select Install for Specific Profiles....

  1. Scroll down to the bottom and set Full Access to the profile in which MiiTel of Salesforce users are included.

  IMPORTANT

  •   If you want to make MiiTel for Salesforce available to users other than the system administrator, please set Full Access to the profile in which these users are included.
  1. Click Install.

  1. Check Yes, grant access to these third-party web sites, then click Continue.

  1. If Installation Complete! is displayed, click Done.

Step 2: Assign the AppExchange license to Salesforce users

Next, you will assign the MiiTel for Salesforce AppExchange license to Salesforce users. Salesforce users who have this license can see the changes of the settings made in Set MiiTel for Salesforce to Salesforce.

  1. Log in to Salesforce with an admin account.
  2. Click the Setup icon located on the top right of Salesforce > Setup
  3. Enter Install in the search box.
  4. Click Installed Packages from the search results.
  5. Click Manage Licenses in MiiTel for Salesforce AppExchange.

  1. Click Add Users.

  1. Check the users you want to assign the MiiTel for Salesforce AppExchange license, then click Add.

  1. If the user is displayed in Licensed Users, you are finished with this step.

Step 3: Set MiiTel for Salesforce to Salesforce

Next, you will set MiiTel for Salesforce to Salesforce.

  1. Click the Setup icon located on the top right of Salesforce > Setup
  2. Enter App Builder in the search box.
  3. Click Lightning App Builder.
  4. Click Edit on the Tasks record page that uses MiiTel for Salesforce.

  NOTE

  •   If there is no Tasks record page, make a new one by following the instructions below, then continue with the settings.
  1. Open the Salesforce app you wish to use MiiTel for Salesforce, then click [ angle-down-light.svg ] on the Tasks tab.
  2. Click + New Task.

  1. Enter all required fields, then click Save.
  2. Go back to the Lightning App Builder page, then click New.
  3. Select the Record Page, then click Next.
  4. Set the name of the record page that will be created in Lable, set Tasks in Objects, then click Next.
  5. Select CLONE SALESFORCE DEFAULT PAGE or select the layout you wish to use.
  6. Click Finish.
  7. Proceed to step #5.
  1. Click an existing tab, then click Add tab located on the right side of the screen.

  1. Click the name of the tab that has been added, then click the name of the tab that is displayed.
  2. Click Custome from the list, then enter MiiTel in Custome Lable.
  3. Click Done.

  1. Click the MiiTel tab you have just created.
  2. Drag and add miitelMain that is displayed in the bottom-left.

  1. Click Save, located on the top right of the screen.
  2. If Activate this page make it visible to your users message is displayed, click Activate.
  3. Select where the new MiiTel tab will be displayed in the Tasks record, then click Assign as.

  1. Follow the step to select apps, records, or profiles, and save the settings.

  IMPORTANT

  •   Currently, MiiTel for Salesforce is not available for Salesforce Mobile App. Please note that even if you select Phone as the form element, it will not be reflected in this service.

  1. Click the Tasks tab and check if the new MiiTel tab is displayed on Salesforce.

Step 4: Allow MiiTel users to use Salesforce AppExchange

On MiiTel Admin, provide MiiTel users the permission to use Salesforce AppExchange.

  1. Log in to MiiTel Admin.
  2. Click User > User List.
  3. Click [ ellipsis-v-light__1_.svg ] on the user you want to allow to use MiiTel for Salesforce> Edit.
  4. Check Enable in Use Salesforce AppExchange.
  5. Click Save.

How to uninstall MiiTel for Salesforce

  IMPORTANT

  •  Even if you uninstall MiiTel for Salesforce by the instructions below, you will not finish the cancellation of this app. If you wish to officially uninstall MiiTel for Salesforce, please also contact your CS or Support.
  1. On Salesforce, click Setup from the wheel icon located on the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Enter app builder in the search box.
  3. Click Lightning App Builder.
  4. Click Edit on the Tasks page, which you are using MiiTel for Salesforce.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Click the MiiTel tab.
  7. From the tabs on the right side of the page, click [x] on MiiTel.

  1. Click Save.
  2. Enter installed packages in the search box.
  3. Click Installed Packages.
  4. Click Edit on the Tasks page, which you are using MiiTel for Salesforce.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Next, follow the instructions in Uninstall a Managed Package to continue with the uninstallation.
