This page explains how to set up an answering machine or automatic call forwarding for incoming calls during the holidays (ex. long holidays, New Year, and other closed days).
1. Set incoming call rule (how to receive the calls)
First, set the incoming calls for the holidays and non-business days.
2. Set filters (the timing to activate the incoming call rule)
Next, you will set the day, the day of the week, and the time of the day to apply the incoming call rule. You can also select a specific day, such as the end of the year, the beginning of the year, or the summer vacation period.
3. Set filters in order
The filters will apply from the top of the order. If the incoming call does not match the day of the week, time, or other conditions set in the first filter, the call will move to the next filter that matches its conditions.
- If none of the filters apply to the incoming call, MiiTel Phone will not ring, and nobody will be able to pick up the call, so please check the filter settings carefully and make sure all filters are in the proper order.
- The filters that only have Apply on holidays checked and no specific days of the week are set should be placed last in the order.
