If you add a voicemail setting in the incoming call rules, callers can leave a message when the operator is not available, especially after business hours.
1. Prepare the audio file
First, prepare the audio file for your voicemail.
After you prepared the audio file, upload it to MiiTel Admin as described in Uploading an audio file to MiiTel.
IMPORTANT
- Please prepare the audio file by yourself. The format of the data must be Wave (.wav) or MP3 (.mp3).
2. Setting up the voicemail
Next, set up the voicemail on MiiTel Admin so the phone can record messages from the caller.
- Visit https://account.miitel.jp/v1/signin and log in to MiiTel Analytics.
- Click Open MiiTel Admin on the top right of the page.
- Click Incoming > Voicemail settings.

Click Add new voicemail setting.
IMPORTANT
- If you want to edit or delete the existing voicemail setting, please read the following instructions.
- To edit: Click > Edit. After you edit, click Save.
- To delete: Click > Delete. Click Delete after you checked the details from the confirmation screen.
- If the voicemail setting is deleted, the corresponding incoming call rule and the filter will also be deleted.
- In Name, enter the name of the voicemail setting so you can identify the voicemail.
- In Maximum voicemail length (seconds), enter the recording time of the voicemail. (You can set this from 10 to 180 seconds.)

Click Save.
3. Set the voicemail feature to the incoming call rule
Set the voicemail settings and announcements in the incoming call rules. By setting this feature to the incoming call rule, callers can listen to the voicemail and leave a message.
- Visit https://account.miitel.jp/v1/signin and log in to MiiTel Analytics.
- Click Open MiiTel Admin on the top right of the page.
- Click Incoming > Incoming Call Rule.
- Click Add new incoming call rule.
NOTE
- If you wish to set the voicemail to the existing incoming call rule, click > Edit, then set up the voicemail.
- Enter the name and description of the incoming call rule as shown in the figure below. Next, set up Action 1, which will allow the voicemail to be played first for this setting.

3In Action 1, select Play sound, then set the audio file to be played in Filename.

- Next in Action 2, select Voicemail then select the voicemail setting to be used in Voicemail name.
- After you set the incoming call rule, click Save.
NOTE
- If you want to first set the call to allow a specific group of members to pick up the incoming call before the call sends to the voicemail setting, set Call all users in a group for Action 1. Then set Play sound for Action 2 and Voicemail for Action 3.
4. Set the filter to the incoming call rule
Configure the filter settings to decide which incoming calls will activate the incoming call rule and when the rules will be activated.
- Visit https://account.miitel.jp/v1/signin and log in to MiiTel Analytics.
- Click Open MiiTel Admin on the top right of the page.
- Click Incoming > Incoming Call Filter
- Click Add new incoming call filter.
- Setup the filter to choose when the incoming call rule will be activated. Below are examples.
