How to set up MiiTel Phone Chrome Extension

You can use MiiTel with Google Chrome extension.

  NOTE

  •   Enabling this feature may cause problems for some websites, such as broken layout, incorrect operation, or taking a long time to load the page. Also, MiiTel's click to call cannot be used together with other Google Chrome extensions that have click to call services.

Step 1: Install MiiTel Phone Chrome Extension

  1. Go to the Chrome Web Store.

  NOTE

  •   If you are already logged in to MiiTel Analytics, click Download MiiTel Phone Chrome Extension from your username in the upper right corner of the screen.

  1. Click Add to Chrome.

  2. Click Add extension.

  3. If the following icon is added to the upper right corner of your browser, the installation is completed.

Step 2: Set up your company ID

  1. Click the MiiTel add-on icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

  2. Enter your company ID.
    ( Company ID is the subdomain portion of the URL to log in to MiiTel Analytics. For example, for https://yourcompany.miitel.jp/, yourcompany will be the company ID)

  NOTE

  •   If you are already logged in to MiiTel Analytics, you can check the company ID from the username on the upper right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Setup to make calls by clicking the phone number on the website (Click to call feature)

Click to call allows you to call a phone number displayed on the website in Google Chrome by only clicking the link. This setting can be applied to all websites or by selecting the websites yourself.

After the setup is completed, the phone number displayed on the web page will be converted into a link, which can be clicked to call that phone number.

  IMPORTANT

  •   Texts that look similar to a phone number may accidentally be converted to a click to call link.

  1. Uncheck Enable click to call feature for all websites.
  2. Enter all URLs of the websites you want the click to call feature to be applied to Websites to enable click to call feature.
  3. Click Save.

  1. Check Enable click to call feature for all websites under Click to Call.
  2. Enter all URLs of the websites you do not want the click to call feature to be applied to Websites to disable the click to call feature.
  3. Click Save.

<Apply click to call to the phone numbers on Salesforce>

If you want to be able to click the phone numbers on the Salesforce page to make a call, please change the settings as the following.

  1. Check Enable click to call feature for Salesforce.
  2. Click Save.

    • Gmail
    • Google Calendar
    • Google Maps
    • Google Docs
    • Microsoft Office 365 Outlook
    • Microsoft Office 365 Word Online
    • Salesforce (Lightning Experience) * Except report screens
    • Salesforce (Salesforce Classic) * Except report screens
    • HubSpot CRM (List screen only)
    • Zendesk Support
    • Cybozu kintone
    • Slack
  • The following web services are not supported.
    • Google Spreadsheet
    • Microsoft Office 365 Excel Online
    • Microsoft OneNote

  NOTE

How to launch MiiTel Phone Chrome Extension

  1. Click on the MiiTel icon that appears in the upper right corner of your Google Chrome browser screen.

  1. MiiTel Phone will be displayed.

Reference: How to change your company ID

  1. Right-click on the add-on icon that appears in the upper right corner of the screen.
  2. Click Options.

  1. Enter your new company ID in the form and click Save.
