Groups

With MiiTel, calls can be picked up by multiple users if they are in the right group. Please follow this page as your guide to insert users into the group so they can pick up calls.

Create a group

  1. Log in to MiiTel Admin with administrative privileges. 
  2. Click User > User Group
  3. Click Add new user group.

  1. After you set all of the following fields, click Save.

1Group name: Enter the name of the group

2Assign user to a group: Check the user you would like to include in the group.

  NOTE

  •   You can not use these special characters for group name: ^ , \ " ( )
  •   If there are multiple users, please use the search box and enter the Login ID, User name, or extension number to find the user.

  •   If you click on the name of each column for Login ID, User name, and Extension number, you can sort the users in descending or ascending order.
  •  When you make a new group, MiiTel will automatically set a four-digit of group number that is not duplicated with other group numbers. If you wish to change the group number, please edit by the instructions in Edit a group.
  •   In order for all users in the group to pick up the phone call, you would need to set up the incoming call rules. For more details, please check Incoming rule management.

Add users to a group

  1. Log in to MiiTel Admin with administrative privileges.
  2. Click User > User Group
  3. Click [ ellipsis-v-light__1_.svg ] located on the group you wish to add the user.
  4. Click Edit.

  1. Check the user you wish to add in the group from Assign user to a group.
  2. Click Save.

  NOTE

Edit a group

  1. Log in to MiiTel Admin with administrative privileges.
  2. Click User > User Group
  3. Click [ ellipsis-v-light__1_.svg ] located on the group you wish to edit > Click Edit.

  1. After you edit the group, click Save.

Delete a group

  1. Log in to MiiTel Admin with administrator privileges.
  2. Click User > User Group
  3. Click [ ellipsis-v-light__1_.svg ] located on the group you wish to delete and click Delete.

  1. Click Delete.

  IMPORTANT

  •   If the deleted group is set in the incoming call rules, the action set for this deleted group will also be deleted.
