Groups

With MiiTel, calls can be picked up by multiple users if they are in the right group. Please follow this page as your guide to insert users into the group so they can pick up calls.

Create a group

  1. Log in to MiiTel Admin with administrator privileges. 
  2. Click User > User Group
  3. Click Add new user group.

  1. After you make the settings as below, click Save.

1Group name: Enter the name of the group

2Group number: Enter a 3 to 6 digit number that will be used to identify the group. If someone calls this number when making an internal call or transferring calls internally, all users in this group will be able to receive the call.

3Assign user to a group: Check the user you would like to include in the group.

  • If there are multiple users, please use the search box and enter the Login ID, User name, or extension number to find the user.

  • If you click on the name of each column for Login ID, User name, and Extension number, you can sort the users in descending or ascending order.
  • You can not use these special characters for group name: ^ , \ " ( )
  • You need to set up the rules for incoming calls to allow the group (you just created) to receive incoming calls. In order for all users in the group to pick. Please refer to Incoming rule management for more details.

Add users in a group

  1. Log in to MiiTel Admin with administrator privileges.
  1. Click User > User Group
  2. Click ellipsis-v-light__1_.svg located for the group you wish to add the user.
  3. Click Edit.

  1. Check the user you wish to add in the group from Assign user to a group.
  2. Click Save.

  • If there are multiple users, please use the search box and enter the Login ID, User name, or extension number to find the user.

  • If you click on the name of each column for Login ID, User name, and Extension number, you can sort the users in descending or ascending order.

Edit a group

  1. Log in to MiiTel Admin with administrator privileges.
  2. Click User > User Group
  3. Click ellipsis-v-light__1_.svg  located for the group you wish to edit > Click Edit.

  1. After editing the group, click Save.

Delete a group

  1. Log in to MiiTel Admin with administrator privileges.
  2. Click User > User Group
  3. Click ellipsis-v-light__1_.svg  located for the group you wish to delete > Click Delete.

  1. Click Delete.

If the deleted group is set in the incoming call rules, the action set for this deleted group will also be deleted.
