Announcement: Change the specification of proxy settings in MiiTel Phone Desktop v3.2.0 or later

Starting from MiiTel Phone Desktop v3.2.0, which is scheduled for release during the night on August 9, 2023 (JST), we will remove the proxy settings in the app. After the release, users will use the proxy settings in the OS to connect to MiiTel Phone Desktop.

If you are currently setting the proxy on MiiTel Phone Desktop, please note that the proxy used by MiiTel Phone Desktop may change due to this specification change, so check with your network administrator.

Details of changes

  • MiiTel Phone Desktop's proxy settings will be removed.
  • Users will use the proxy settings configured in the OS to connect to MiiTel Phone Desktop.
  • If the proxy is not set in the OS, users can connect without the proxy settings.
  • For a proxy that requires authentication, an authentication dialog will appear when connecting for the first time.
    (Enter the user name and password for the proxy in the authentication dialog and click Submit.)
