This page explains how to set up the desk phone (GRANDSTREAM GRP260x series) to connect as a MiiTel extension terminal.

Supported models
NOTE
- Some models have P, W, or G at the end since they have additional features like the PoE power supply (feature to receive power supply from PoE-compatible HUB), Wi-Fi, Gigabit LAN, etc.
Connect your desk phone to the network
The settings will differ depending on whether you will use the PoE power supply.
Set up your network
Next, you will set up the network for your desk phone.
Log in to your desk phone
Next, you will log in to your desk phone. To log in, you would need a computer that has access to the same network as your desk phone.
- Press the button on the center of the keypad.
- Select Status > 1. Network status > 2. IPv4: (IP address).
- Check the IP address displayed on the desk phone.
- Open the web browser from the computer that is connected to the same network as the desk phone.
- On the address bar, enter the desk phone's IP address to access the desk phone.
- On the login screen, enter the user ID and password.
- User ID: Initial user ID is admin.
- Password: Initial password is displayed on the desk phone. (Once you see the login screen on your web browser, you will see the password on the desk phone's screen.)
NOTE
- After your first login, you will be asked to change your password.
- After you log in, you will see the following status screen.
Set up your account
Next, you will set up your account for using your desk phone.
- From the menu, click Accounts > Accounts.
- Click Account 1.
- Click the General Settings tab.
- Set the following items.
1Account Active: Check here.
2Account Name: Enter your extension number.
3SIP Server: Enter the server name that you have received from us.
4SIP User ID: Enter the user ID that you have received from us.
5SIP Authentication Password: Enter the password that you have received from us.
- Click Save and Apply.
Set up the SIP
Next, you will set up your desk phone's operation settings to match with MiiTel.
- From the menu, click Accounts > Accounts.
- Click Account 1.
- Click the SIP Settings tab.
- Set the following items.
1REGISTER Expiration: 5
2SIP Transport: TLS/TCP
- Click Save and Apply.
Set up the codec
You will continue to set up your desk phone's operation settings to match with MiiTel.
- From the menu, click Accounts > Accounts.
- Click Account 1.
- Click the Codec Settings tab.
- For SRTP Mode, select Enabled But Not Forced.
- Click Save and Apply.
Check the status of your desk phone
Lastly, you will check and see if your desk phone is connected to the MiiTel server.
- From the menu, click Accounts > Account Status.
- If Account 1's icon is green, you have successfully connected your desk phone to the MiiTel server.
NOTE

If Account 1's icon is gray, check the following.
・ Check if the network (connected to your desk phone) can connect to the internet.
(You can not use the desk phone with a local network.)
・ Double-check the settings you have made on Set up your network.
・ Double-check the settings you have made on Set up your account, Set up the SIP, or Set up the codec.
